The Novi List announced today that it will run independently in the local elections in Herceg Novi, and that Miloš Konjević will be the candidate.
"The Novska Lista will, as in the previous four election cycles, run independently in the local elections in Herceg Novi. The main board of the Novska Lista has unanimously decided that the party's leader and candidate for mayor will be the founder of the Novska Lista and the current vice president of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, Miloš Konjević. Konjević has been elected as a councilor of the Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly in all previous elections, and in the past two terms, or the last eight years, he has successfully served as the vice president of the Municipality," the statement said.
The Nova List added that as part of the political agreement with the Europe Now Movement (PES), PES's full support for their election campaign is certain "and the continuation of the implementation of numerous projects for Herceg Novi, such as rescuing the Igalo Institute through the Restructuring Plan and an investment of 106 million, the construction of an elementary school in Igalo, improving the work of the Meljine Hospital, and the construction of a new Olympic swimming pool complex."
"The main board of the Novska Lista expressed its belief that it will achieve the best individual result in the upcoming elections, and that the vision of Herceg Novi as a Mediterranean economic, tourist and cultural center that the Novska Lista has been inheriting for thirteen years will soon become a reality. Our city, our ship," the Novska Lista said.
On January 22, the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, announced regular elections for councilors in the Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly for April 13.
