The agreement, which will be signed between the parliaments of Montenegro and Monaco, will be the greatest success the two countries have achieved so far in bilateral cooperation, said the President of the Montenegrin Parliament, Andrija Mandić.
Today, he received the President of the National Council of Monaco, Thomas Brez, who is on an official visit to Montenegro.
As announced by the Montenegrin Parliament, Mandić and Brezo discussed relations between Montenegro and Monaco.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that Montenegro and Monaco, as small states, share numerous common values and that united with other small European states, they protect their interests.
"Mandić announced that the agreement to be signed between the two parliaments in the coming period will represent the greatest success that our two countries have achieved so far in bilateral cooperation," the statement said.
He added that he would like other small European states to reach such agreements.
"It is very important that we continue the unification of small countries in Europe, because only in this way can we find our place among the great powers," said Mandić.
He thanked the Monaco delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean for the support it announced regarding the election of Dejan Đurović as Vice-President of that interparliamentary assembly.
Mandić stated that Montenegro will make every effort to return this gesture with strong support for the candidacies that Monaco is putting forward in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Brezo said that there is room for strengthening cooperation between Montenegro and Monaco on numerous levels, especially in the fields of economy and education.
