As things stand now, about a dozen electoral lists should participate in the upcoming local elections in Herceg Novi, "Vijesti" has learned.
The Europe Now Movement (PES) will act in alliance with the Novski List, whose representative will lead the coalition. The two political entities are also partners at the state level, and Novska has one MP (Jovan Subotic), which is part of the caucus of the strongest ruling party in the state parliament.
Novska announced yesterday that it will run "independently", but that it will have the support of PES, and that the first on the electoral list will be a Novska official and the vice president of the Herceg Novi Municipality. The submission of electoral lists for councilors in the Novi Sad parliament began on February 12th and will last until March 18th at midnight.
The Herceg Novi parliament has 35 seats, so the support of at least 18 councilors is required to form a government.
