Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić sent congratulations to Kosovo on the occasion of that country's Independence Day.
This was told to "Vijesti" by the Public Relations Office of the President of the State and unofficially confirmed by the Prime Minister's office.
"President Jakov Milatović, in accordance with established practice, sends a congratulatory message on the occasion of Independence/Statehood Day to every country with which Montenegro has established diplomatic relations. President Milatović has also done so when it comes to Kosovo," the Office's response states.
The media were not provided with Milatović's congratulatory message yesterday, nor were the congratulations from Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić.
Kosovo marked the 17th anniversary of its declaration of independence yesterday, and congratulations were sent on the occasion by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Nikola Camaj, and the Minister of Public Administration, Maraš Dukaj.
