The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) assessed that the solution to the crisis in Šavnik and Kotor is to complete the election process in both cities and to announce the final election results.
The party announced that "the deep crisis caused by permanent political instability and anti-constitutional actions of the parliamentary majority at all levels has naturally given rise to consequences in relation to the political system."
"In this context, the current majority has been demonstrating a dangerous tendency for an extended period of time to not allow the completion of those electoral processes in which it is certain that it will suffer defeat, as is most evident in Šavnik and Kotor. Therefore - the way out of the current crisis in these two cities is extremely simple - the competent state authorities are obliged to ensure the completion of the electoral processes and the announcement of the final election results so that, after that, in accordance with legal procedures, a government can be formed," the DPS announced.
They add that anything else would mean continuing the practice of further undermining democracy in Montenegro, which could result in dangerous and long-term consequences.
