Montenegro wants to invest more in defense and continuous modernization of the Army's capacities, said Defense Minister Dragan Krapović.

Krapović, at the invitation of the Minister of Defense, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is participating in the 17th International Defense Exhibition and Conference "IDEX 2025" and the 8th Naval Defense Exhibition and Conference "NAVDEX 2025", which are being held from February 17 to 21 in Abu Dhabi.

"Today, Minister Krapović was introduced to the offer of leading world companies that presented the latest technological achievements in the field of defense. Among them were the German company 'Dynamite Noble Defence' and the Slovenian company 'Guardiaris', with whose executive director the minister met on that occasion. Krapović also visited the exhibition spaces of international companies "Češka zbrojevka", "International Armored Group IAG", "Alan" from Croatia, as well as "Jugo-import SDPR" from Serbia, and on that occasion discussed modalities of possible cooperation with their representatives.

During his visit to Abu Dhabi, the minister also met with the UAE Minister of Defense, Mohammed bin Mubarak Fadel Al Mazrui, presenting him with "a vision of technological progress in the modernization of Montenegro's defense capacities in order to increase the efficiency and interoperability of the Montenegrin Army."

Krapović informed Al Mazriuj about Montenegro's foreign policy priorities and the contribution of the Army to strengthening international peace and stability. On that occasion, the Minister visited the exhibition space of the EDGE company from the UAE, where he had the opportunity to familiarize himself with the range that the company offers when it comes to the latest military technologies and products.

"IDEX" and "NAVDEX", as platforms of key importance for presenting the latest technologies in the field of land, air and maritime defense at the global level, bring together high-ranking state representatives, experts from the security sector, as well as more than 1.300 exhibiting companies that significantly contribute to the defense industry, the Ministry of Defense announced.
