The Europe Now Movement (PES) finds it acceptable for the Venice Commission (VC) to be involved in resolving the political crisis caused by the events in the Constitutional Court, but that this does not jeopardize the dignity of the domestic judiciary, which the potentially injured party consulted on the same issue, the MINA agency has learned unofficially from the PES parliamentary group.
Prime Minister and PES leader Milojko Spajić and the presidents of the opposition Democratic Party of Socialists and Social Democrats, Danijel Živković and Damir Šehović, met tonight in Podgorica with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Montenegro, Johann Sattler, to discuss resolving the political crisis in the country.
According to the MINA agency, PES is willing to include the VK, but it is not expected to jeopardize the dignity of the domestic judiciary, which was consulted by the potentially injured party on the same issue.
The Venice Commission, according to unofficial information after the meeting, does not want to get involved in proceedings that are already before domestic courts.
