The head of the Social Democrats (SD) parliamentary group and representative of the European Union, Boris Mugoša, announced that the (PES) party should not even mention the head of parliament, Andrija Mandić, and the Democratic People's Party (DNP) MP, Milan Knežević, in its statement, but rather timidly mention "representatives of coalition partners."
"This is what a party that has 20 MPs in parliament is doing, while the ZBCG has 13... So much for who has the upper hand in the parliamentary majority and who manages political processes..." Mugoša wrote in a post on the social network X.
He states that PES says "that the position of the institutions is clear and that Mandić's position does not have an institutional character", and that this is "sad, it couldn't be sadder...".
"Mandić is met at the airport by the President of the RS Assembly, the meeting is held at the official headquarters of the President of the RS (Palace of the Republic) and the press is in that building, the meeting is attended by the President of the RS Assembly and the Serb member of the BiH Presidency...", said Mugoša.
Belan: PES claims that individual statements do not reflect the Government's views - the circus never ends
The President of the Liberal Party and representative of the European Union, Vatroslav Belan, announced that the coalition For the Future of Montenegro (ZBCG) supports the President of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who is loudly calling for the breakup of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), while the PES claims to respect the sovereignty of BiH.
He said that PES is today claiming that "individual statements do not reflect the views of the Government, etc., etc. - the circus never ends."
"Milan Knežević claims that Milojko Spajić came to the meeting with the opposition as a representative of PES, and not as the prime minister. The BS claims that Mandić and Knežević were with Dodik on their own behalf. Minister Đeljošaj does not think that a boycott of retail chains is a good solution, while Spajić calls for a boycott. The Democrats, as part of the government, sued the government's decision on the appointment of the acting director of the Police Department last year. President Milatović is proposing a law on the rehabilitation of prisoners on Goli Otok, PES says that now is not the time for that," said Belan.

"A key part of the Government and the parliamentary majority, the one gathered around the ZBCG and which is the only one pulling the strings, enthusiastically observes the growth of right-wing movements in Europe and tensions on the US-EU/Ukraine line, while some PES MPs express concern about American support for right-wing movements and qualify the US administration's pressure on Ukraine as shameful," he added.
Belan points out that all constituents of the 44th Government, with their "a little bit of everything, something for everyone" approach and "good cop - bad cop" tactics, are misleading the citizens of Montenegro and foreign interlocutors, "especially EU officials, and thus retaining their positions and sinecures, which is obviously their only common ground."
"Some minority parties 'threaten' to leave the government here and there, but they quickly change their minds and say 'who said that? I said that?'. They don't care that they are all collectively turning Montenegro into a dysfunctional state in these extremely challenging times. It is important that they remain in this kind of government and thus, more consciously or unconsciously, they achieve precisely one of the goals of the Serbian World and help the Mandić-Knežević duo fulfill their task," the statement reads.
The President of the Parliament of Montenegro and leader of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) Andrija Mandić and the President of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) and MP in the Parliament of Montenegro Milan Knežević met yesterday in Banja Luka with the President of the Bosnian and Herzegovina entity Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.
At the press conference after that meeting, Mandić said, among other things, that Serbs from Montenegro stand together with Serbs from Republika Srpska, even when times are difficult.
At the same conference, Knežević said, among other things, that the verdict sentencing Dodik to a year in prison and banning him from political activity for six years was shameful, and that the goal of the verdict was to eliminate him from political life because of his clear views, which are also advocated by the majority of the Serbian people. He emphasized that Serbs in Montenegro could not possibly be closer to Sarajevo than to Banja Luka.
On February 26, Dodik was sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity.
Dodik was then found guilty before the Court of BiH.
Dodik is accused of signing presidential decrees declaring two unconstitutional laws of the RS, which the High Representative had previously annulled, valid. These are the laws on the non-implementation of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the non-implementation of decisions of the High Representative on the territory of the RS.
The verdict is a first-instance verdict and there is a possibility of appeal to the Appellate Chamber of the Court of BiH.
