In Nikšić, tonight, the Europe Now Movement (PES) presented the leader of that political party's list in the local elections to be held in the town near Trebjes on April 13th, Zoran Mrkić, director of the General Hospital in Nikšić.
The list will be called "Healthy Nikšić – Dr. Zoran Mrkić - Europe Now Movement!".
"Together with the Government of Montenegro, we will build Nikšić into the commercial and economic center of Montenegro. We will create an opportunity for young people to stay in Nikšić, to establish their families and businesses here," said Mrkić, according to a statement from the Nikšić-based PES.
He said that this electoral list will offer policies that will provide every citizen with equal opportunities for development.
"Politics is only good if it is for the people. If we take care of their everyday needs, if they have access to good and quality education, social and health care, if they can get a job and work. We in Nikšić need the best cooperation with the central authorities in Podgorica, and our victory guarantees that. Together with the Government, we will implement capital projects, reconstruct and build the necessary infrastructure, so that Nikšić becomes the economic and commercial center of Montenegro," said Mrkić and thanked the Prime Minister and PES President Milojko Spajić "for the readiness that the Government of Montenegro has shown when it comes to the development of Nikšić."
Spajić, as stated in the statement, said that in the same way that the current government is changing Montenegro for the better, the "Zdrav Nikšić" list will also change Nikšić for the better when it wins.
"Higher salaries, higher pensions, benefits for businessmen, the fight against corruption, the rule of law, these are the results we have achieved together. We won IBAR and brought Montenegro closer to the European Union. We are building the most highways in the history of Montenegro. These are concrete results that affect the better lives of all citizens," Spajić said.
As stated, he emphasized that cooperation between the local government and the central authorities is crucial for the development of Nikšić and that the victory of the list "Healthy Nikšić - Dr. Zoran Mrkić - Europe Now Movement!" guarantees that cooperation.
"We want to work with you, the people of Nikšić, to build a healthy Nikšić, to implement projects that will improve the daily lives of citizens and to achieve new victories," said Spajić and called on the citizens of Nikšić to vote in the upcoming elections and to give their trust to the electoral list "Healthy Nikšić - Dr. Zoran Mrkić - Europe Now!".
Vida Ristić, executive director and owner of the Timer & Co Educational Center, who has joined the Europe Now Movement team, also spoke at the convention.
She called on the citizens of Nikšić, especially women and young people, to get involved in politics and support this list that guarantees the best conditions for their growth and development.
