The head of the parliamentary group of the Europe Now Movement (PES) Vasilije Čarapić has shown that he does not respect basic human rights, according to the coalition "For the Future of Nikšić" (ZBNK).
They said that Čarapić was making statements that "rocked the Nikšić PES campaign to its foundations."
Čarapić assessed earlier today that raising the issue of dual citizenship and the Serbian language before the Nikšić elections is an indicator of "a lack of awareness of the real needs of citizens and an abundance of ignorance" about how to do work in the general interest.
"We really don't understand how colleagues from the Nikšić board of the Movement for Europe are now allowing MP Čarapić to lower their ratings and create problems in the election campaign with his statements. Instead of using his limited energy to visit households to make the initial rally in Nikšić look even more attractive to them, he is making statements that are fundamentally shaking the Nikšić PES campaign and for the possible poor results of that movement in our city, they should look solely for the culprit in Vasilije Čarapić," the ZBNK coalition said in a statement, published on the Facebook page "For the Future of Montenegro".

They told Čarapić to "forget about Nikšić" and devote himself to his career.
"In our long history of existence, we have seen many politicians who based their policies on the idea of 'good morning, čaršija, on all four sides', and all of Montenegro knows that such people did not stay on the scene for long. That is why it is better for Čarapić to give up Nikšić and devote himself to his career. The people of Nikšić know who reborn this city in just four years and who is behind the result of 5.000 new jobs, and that is precisely why the historic result of our coalition with Marko Kovačević at the helm will continue the development and progress of the city under Trebješ".
They say it is important that the statement of the head of the PES parliamentary group be read by all who speak Serbian, because he "clearly showed them that he does not respect basic human rights," and that the citizens of Nikšić will judge such positions and his policies in the elections on April 13th.
"Our coalition will, as before, continue to fight with dignity for the position that the Serbian people deserve according to all democratic rules, through the initiation of a broad dialogue. We will never again allow anyone to address the Serbian people and people who speak the Serbian language with ultimatums," the statement reads.
