Čvorović, leader of the SEP list in the local elections: Nikšić must once again be a city where people live and build the future

The Party of European Progress (SEP) has formed a Municipal Board in Nikšić and elected 43-year-old entrepreneur Nikola Čvorović as its president, the SEP announced.

"This is, after Podgorica, Bijelo Polje, Pljevlja, Rožaje and Plav, the sixth city in which the Party of European Progress is formally active," the statement reads.

According to SEP, at the first session of the Municipal Board, candidates for councilors in the Nikšić Municipal Assembly in the elections scheduled for April 13 were elected, and Čvorović was elected as the head of the electoral list.

In his address, Čvorović said in a statement that the SEP has two goals in the upcoming elections.

"The first is to gain the necessary trust of the citizens of Nikšić and enter the local parliament, and the second is to contribute to a change of government and restore hope to Nikšić. We all know that Nikšić was once a strong industrial city where 20.000 people worked. Today, it is a city from which people leave in search of a better life elsewhere. We are going to change that. Nikšić must once again be a city in which people live and build a future, not a city from which people flee in search of a living," said Čvorović.

Speaking about the campaign of the Party of European Progress, he said that it would be clean and fair.

"But don't think we will remain silent. We will support every good thing, but we will offer a concrete solution for every bad thing," said Čvorović.

SEP announced that Čvorović was born in 1982. After primary and secondary education in Nikšić, and studies in maritime communications, electronics and electrical engineering in Kotor, he moved to Paris in 2008, where he started his own business, started a family and integrated into French society.

"Three years ago, he returned with his family to Montenegro, where he bought the company "BTSline doo" in Podgorica, which employs 20 people. Nikola is a successful mountaineer and a member of the Javorak Mountaineering and Sports Association from Nikšić and the French Mountaineering Association. As a mountaineer, he conquered, among others, the highest European peak, Mont Blanc, and Island Peak, 6.200 m/m in the Himalayas. He is active in humanitarian actions as part of the Goodwill Bikers Foundation, which helps children with developmental disabilities. He is a father of two children," the statement added.
