Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said that after information was received that the vice president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) had been detained, state authorities reacted swiftly towards officials from Serbia.
Spajić wrote on the X network that Vuković, a member of the Parliament of Montenegro, was on his way to Montenegro.
"The state of Montenegro will always stand by its citizens in every situation. We also do not support the interference of our officials in the internal politics of other countries - first MP Knežević, and now Vuković - because we expect the same attitude towards Montenegro. Regarding the situation of MP Vuković, our competent authorities promptly reacted to their colleagues from Serbia, and the MP of the Montenegrin Parliament is already on his way to Montenegro," Spajić wrote on the X network.
Vuković was detained in Belgrade today by the Security and Intelligence Agency (BIA) of Serbia.
