PES: It is manipulation to present the agreed proposals of the majority as an agreement between PES and DPS

The Europe Now Movement (PES) assessed that the attempt to present the agreement between the government and the opposition as an agreement between that party and the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is "shameless manipulation" ahead of the elections in Nikšić and Herceg Novi.

They said that the signed agreement represents the formalization of all previously agreed demands within Barometer 26 and that it "confirms the unfoundedness of the opposition boycott."

"Apart from the position to consult the Venice Commission, which is also the agreed position of the majority constituents, all other items are already included in Barometer 26, which was adopted by the Government, which consists of the very parties from which disinformation is being spread today," PES announced.

They say that the party, "in good spirit and in accordance with its responsibility", has made efforts to, "in coordination with representatives of European partners", ensure the return of the opposition to parliament under conditions that are "acceptable to absolutely every member of the government".

"We remind you of the countless calls to the opposition to return to the parliamentary benches sent by ZBCG officials. Unfortunately, we do not expect understanding from those who for decades have only gained votes through arguments and divisions," the statement reads.

New Serbian Democracy MP Jovan Vučurović earlier today, as reported by RTCG, assessed that the agreement reached last night between the president of PES and the government, Milojko Spajić, and opposition representatives Danijela Zivković (DPS), Damir Šehović (European Alliance) and Adrijan Vuksanović (HI) - was a party agreement between PES and opposition parties, and not between the government and the opposition.
