Democrats submit list in Herceg Novi, Katić at the helm: "Cooperation possible with everyone who accepts our program"

Democratic Montenegro submitted the electoral list "We Know Each Other by Deeds" to the Municipal Election Commission in Herceg Novi, led by the current Mayor of the Municipality, Stevan Katić.

The list also includes members of the Open Boka Citizens' Association, as well as non-partisan figures. "We are proud to point out that among us there are more than 30 percent ladies, over 80 percent highly educated individuals, ready to invest their knowledge in the progress of the city," said Katić, as stated in the statement.

The Democrats announced that post-election cooperation will be possible with anyone who accepts their program of "further strong and dynamic development of the city, as well as basic principles," among which is the fact that there is no possibility of a coalition with the Democratic Party of Socialists.

Katic said they are convinced that they will achieve "the most convincing result so far" in the elections on April 13th.

"This is due to our actions, everything we have done in the previous period, and the people of Herceg Novi can see that. Wherever you go, you can see that there is work being done in Herceg Novi, that a lot has been done and that even more will be done in the coming period, in a homely and responsible manner, the way we know how and how we have done it so far," said Katić.

The electoral list, as announced, was supported by signatures from almost 3.000 citizens, which is "a significantly larger number than in 2017 and 2021."

"That's why we are all going together to a new election victory," said Katić.

The president of the Open Boka Association, Gojko Đurđević, also believes in a good result, saying that the joint performance is the product of recognizing decentralization as one of the basic items in their program.

"A strong central party based in Podgorica decided to come out with this very slogan and the name and surname of the man who has led this city so far. We think this is a small, symbolic, but very brave act by this party, which is why we decided to support them," said Đurđević.
