The attitude towards the joint agreement (the Agreement and the agreed joint statement) will be an indicator of true commitment to the necessary reforms that should enable us to become the first member of the European Union (EU), announced the President of the Social Democrats (SD) Parliamentary Group in the Parliament of Montenegro and representative of the European Union, Boris Mugoša.
Mugoša, in a post on the social network X, said that everything is completely clear and indisputable and that the agreement signed by the Prime Minister and President of the PES (Europe Now Movement) Milojko Spajić with the opposition relates to the operationalization of current activities in Parliament, which were a consequence of the constitutional crisis.
"Their agreed joint statement, which accompanies the Agreement and was defined at the meeting with Sattler and published by the EU Delegation to Montenegro, also contains an agreement on possible future activities in Parliament and implies that issues that divide the public will not be considered without a general political consensus," Mugoša wrote.
Mugoša said that the participants in the aforementioned meeting included 41 out of 81 MPs and that it was "clear that by respecting the agreement and the agreed joint statement, the aforementioned political entities determine the dynamics of what will happen."
The agreement, mediated by the EU Delegation in Podgorica, was signed by Spajić with the leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Danijela Živković, one of the leaders of the European Union, Damir Šehović, and the leader of the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI), Adrijan Vuksanović. The signatories agreed to submit a request for an opinion to the Venice Commission no later than seven days after the agreement, regarding the procedure for determining the termination of the mandate of Constitutional Court judge Dragana Đuranović, which caused a political crisis in Montenegro.
