Herceg Novi must embark on the path of recovery from the last three decades, during which tycoon privatizations and systematic destruction of the economy were carried out, which also led to an outflow of population, the Europe Now Movement (PES) announced.
As announced, the cooperation between the Nova Lista and the Europe Now Movement aims to "bring credible investors and clean capital to our city."
They state that Herceg Novi needs new projects, new investments and new jobs.
"After losing giants such as Prvoborac, Brodogradilište or HTP Boka, Herceg Novi must focus on two strategic priorities - saving the Igalo Institute and Meljine Hospital as carriers of health tourism, and investing in infrastructure, sustainable development and valorization of potentials such as the Luštica peninsula, the port of Zelenika and the Herceg Novi hinterland," the statement reads.
"These projects require careful strategic planning, as well as attracting fresh capital and large foreign direct investments," it added.
PES claims that in the past year, the Government of Montenegro created all the prerequisites for saving the Igalo Institute and the Meljine Hospital, "and this year, over 60 million investments in the city are expected."
"All issues of interest to Herceg Novi are open, so at this moment it can be said with certainty that Herceg Novi is embarking on the path of economic recovery and that it has a safe partner on that path in the Europe Now! Movement and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić," the statement said.
