This was said by Nemanja Vuković, the leader of the list "Nemanja Vuković - We are all from Nikšić", presenting the program.
"Building on what we have achieved in the past four years, we are offering more investments, better living conditions and prospects with the new program. The results recommend that we be trusted, because we have implemented 90 percent of the program in these four years, even what we did not promise. This time, we are not promising, but guaranteeing that our program, which consists of three main pillars, will be implemented. These pillars are caring for people, investments and sustainable development," said Vuković, who serves as the President of the Municipal Assembly.
Recalling the measures related to child allowance for all children up to 18 years of age, free textbooks and school supplies, benefits for newborns, for families with three or more minor children, subsidies for student transportation, increased student scholarships, support for organizations dealing with the issue of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the Day Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities... the new program, according to Vuković, offers an apartment at the cost of construction, free public transportation for pensioners and PWDs, and the construction of an Autism Center.
"In every neighborhood and settlement, we will build new playgrounds and sports fields or reconstruct existing ones, we will build a new building for the Faculty of Philology, new kindergartens in Kličevo and Integralovo settlements, expand the school in Kočani. We will form the Academy of Knowledge and Skills, reconstruct the Sports Center, complete the sports and recreational complex and the fitness track under Trebjes, reconstruct the eastern stand and the athletics track at the stadium near Bistrica," said Vuković, adding that in the past four years, they have built 15 playgrounds and sports fields.
According to him, the Secretariat for Culture, Sports, Youth and Social Welfare, together with public institutions, created and supported over 450 cultural events last year, and Vuković promises that they will continue in that direction in the next four years.
"We will reconstruct the Bedem fortress, we will open the Gallery of Contemporary Art, we will build a congress hall and stage space in the House of Revolution, we will continue to provide support to artists and creators," promised the leader of the "Nemanja Vuković - We Are All Nikšić" list.
During his four-year mandate, Vuković said at a press conference, according to data from Monstat and the Employment Agency, 5.000 new jobs were created, over 100 kilometers of roads and highways were reconstructed and paved, significant investors were brought in, and over 40 infrastructure projects were implemented.
"We will build Phase II of the sewage network and pave all streets in Dragova Luka, Oštrovac, Ćemenci and Rubeži, reconstruct the city park, arrange the area behind King Nikola's Castle and pave Njegoševa Street, from SDK to Pivnica. We will begin the reconstruction of the city water supply system and build new water supply systems in Župa and Banjani," Vuković emphasized.
He pointed out that they have solved the biggest environmental problem in Nikšić, the Mislov do landfill, and promised that they will not open new landfills, but will build a Waste Management Center and a transfer station, will install video surveillance in public areas to combat the creation of illegal landfills, and as for the problem of stray dogs, it will be solved with the soon opening of a free zone. The plan is to build an agricultural house, reconstruct the city market, establish a Secretariat for Agriculture, and provide greater incentives for women and young people in business... The implementation of such an ambitious program is possible, said Vuković, when you have "the highest quality people who can implement this program, who know how to manage the city."
"Our goal is a Nikšić that you don't want to leave, but a Nikšić that offers a chance and perspective, a city that offers opportunities and security, a city that grows and develops. So let's speed up, because we are all Nikšić," said Vuković.
Dr. Dušan Krcunović, from Plenum 083, said that the more ambitious the projects, the greater the burden of responsibility, and then the greater the expectations of those to whom the promises are addressed and to whom these projects relate.
"In the upcoming elections, citizens are being presented with two demands that are mutually conditional and presuppose each other. First of all, the changes that citizens fought for in the last elections must be defended and confirmed in their character as the basic direction of social movement and city life. In other words, fulfilling this demand is a kind of self-affirmation of Nikšić as a politically enlightened environment with a long cultural tradition and informal status as a cultural, educational and educational center of Montenegro with rich opportunities, still unused, but also a normative ideal of developed, urban life," said Krcunović.
According to him, assuming that the dominant social mood in Nikšić is resolutely directed against a return "to the agonizing state of apathy and hopelessness that was the prevailing feeling before 2021", the previous request is followed by a challenging and more complex request, the fulfillment of which would mean "a significantly greater attractiveness of Nikšić", both for those who have linked their lives and careers to the city under Trebjes, as well as for travelers, passers-by and visitors, and these are quality projects.
"Excessiveness is the very essence of political promises and speeches, but it inspires confidence that this coalition list includes many young, honest, educated and ambitious people who can take responsibility and implement this ambitious vision of the development of Nikšić. People who have such qualities guarantee the fulfillment of both of these requirements, and therefore this list deserves full social and political trust," said Krcunović.
