The intention of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, who plans to sign an agreement with the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is for everyone living in Montenegro to be a landless people, announced the president of the Civic Movement URA, Dritan Abazović.
At a press conference in the Parliament, he said that they have an obligation to defend the truth before the citizens of Montenegro.
"What Spajić has planned to do, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has never done. What Spajić intends to do, neither Milo Đukanović nor Duško Marković did," said Abazović.

According to him, the agreement emphasizes the development of projects in the south of Montenegro as an integrated development of tourism and mixed-use real estate - apartments for sale.
It is also stated that contracts, programs and agreements will be implemented in full compliance with relevant Montenegrin laws, excluding the country's legislation on public procurement, public tenders and public competitions, as well as all procedures related to them.
"I have warned citizens in every way that man wants to make Montenegrins, Serbs, Albanians, Muslims, Bosniaks and everyone who lives in Montenegro a people without a country. Spajić's intention is for us to be a people without a country. Far from transparency, without public procedures, public tenders and public competitions," Abazović warned.

The agreement further states that the UAE will not be subject to any dispute resolution mechanisms provided for in that treaty.
It is also added that the state will develop the public infrastructure necessary for the implementation of the project.
"A man wants to build all the infrastructure for them and give them money to build apartments. We will not remain silent, we do not want our people to be without land. A lot of blood and sweat was shed for Montenegro to be an independent state, a lot of energy will be needed for it to be a functional civil state," Abazović said.
He said that he is not against investments and that everyone is welcome to invest, but with certain rules imposed by the state.
"Just because we are poorer than others does not mean that we are for sale. If someone wants to sell the state of Montenegro for an apartment, a million or an apartment on the water in Belgrade, we do not want to. That is a clear message to Spajić and everyone," said Abazović.
He also said that he was interested in which MPs, when the agreement comes to the Parliament, would raise their hands for such a thing.
Abazović said that Montenegro aspires to join the European Union (EU) because it wants to respect various democratic rules more.
"If this goes like this, congratulations. I think the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK) and the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) should have already initiated procedures against Spajić and the state secretaries who presented the project of a private company. Why are they silent, maybe they are accomplices or someone was promised something. If this is not an alarm for the institutions, I think we have not passed any democratic test," Abazović concluded.
