The leader of the "Nemanja Vuković - We Are All Nikšić" list, Nemanja Vuković, said that Župa had been unfairly neglected for decades, but that things had changed in the past four years.
"When Nikšić defended itself in 2021, the support from Župa was the greatest and strongest. It was the same on August 30th - Župa stood on the defender of sacred places and dignity. Today, I believe that Župa will once again show strength and stop the offensive on the seats, the offensive on the pockets of citizens and the attempt to seize the resources that were recovered today," Vuković said at a pre-election rally in Župa.
He highlighted key projects implemented by the current government and plans for the coming period, including apartments at construction costs to support young couples and families, investments of over 100 million euros in the next four years, the completion of the reconstruction of the road through Župa, the construction of a water supply system and resolving water supply issues, the connection of Župa and Kolašin via Kapetan Lake and the King Nikola's Ban. He also particularly emphasized support for farmers, pointing out that the current government has introduced regular payments of subsidies and increased them, while, as he said, the previous government did not do so.
"Unlike those who ignored farmers for 12 years and left debts, we have not only established regular payments of subsidies, but also increased their value. Those who once plundered and destroyed Nikšić are fighting for it again today," said Vuković.
He added that the "Nemanja Vuković - We Are All Nikšić" coalition remains consistent and that there is no cooperation with the DPS and those who, as he claims, were destroying the city. He called on citizens to circle the number 7 and support his coalition in the upcoming elections on April 13, so that Nikšić can continue on the path of development and progress.
Vice President of the Democrats, Momo Koprivica, said that Nikšić, Župa and every part of this city must not allow the return of those whose rule will be best learned from the judgments made in Montenegro. He said that their electoral list consists of respectable people, from whom we should learn how to manage property and how to strive for social good.
"These are people who did not trade on national feelings, did not divide citizens or incite divisions. That is why it is no coincidence that our list is called 'We are all Nikšić' and that it is led by Nemanja Vuković - a man who never offended anyone because of their affiliation or uniqueness, but rather worked for every citizen of this city," said Koprivica.
Koprivica also emphasized the importance of institutional changes, emphasizing that Nikšić will finally receive city status, which paves the way for Župa to become a city municipality.
"These are key steps towards even stronger development and progress of Nikšić, and our coalition is a guarantee that we will continue on the right path," said Koprivica.
"We want young people to stay in Nikšić, to work and create here, to provide those who are already here with security and support, and to provide our oldest fellow citizens with even better living conditions. The greatest service to them is when we provide their children and grandchildren with stable jobs and prospects. We can only achieve this together," said Vuković.
