After the Budva Tourist Organization, the Municipal Enterprise and Mediteran Advertising, the once opposition Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) will now enter the management structures of all municipal enterprises and cultural institutions.
This is confirmed by the decisions on the election of new boards of directors and councils in companies and public institutions, founded by the Municipality of Budva, which "Vijesti" had insight into, and which are waiting on Wednesday to formally receive the green light from the new council majority of the local parliament.
Thus, after eight and a half years of sitting in the opposition benches, and being criticized for not having coalition capacity and for not being seen as a partner by anyone, DPS returned to Budva's political reality in a big way.
By providing, as they themselves called it, "project support" to the political group "Budva our city", led by the current mayor Nikola Jovanovic, DPS secured seats on the boards of directors of key companies and institutions, thereby strengthening their political power, which they lost back in 2016.
The current government gathered around Jovanović, consisting of his political list, the European Alliance and the Civic Movement URA, to which seven DPS councilors give the necessary parliamentary majority, agreed last week on the composition of the board of directors and councils, and the decisions were included by the speaker of parliament ahead of the weekend, as an addition to the agenda of the parliamentary session scheduled for April 2nd. Petar Odžić (European Union).

On Wednesday, the councilors will vote on the proposal to dismiss the current composition of the Board of Directors of the company "Otpadne vode Budva", after which they will decide on the appointment of the new composition of that management body, which will consist of Ana Pekovic, Naim Feratovic i Nemanja Malovrazic.
The agenda of the assembly session also includes the dismissal of the current Board of Directors of the Budva Water and Sewerage Company, and the appointment of a new Board of Directors for a four-year term. A five-member Board of Directors for the largest municipal company has been proposed, including the President Blagoje Mijatovic, and members Slobodan Bozovic, Pavle Kentera, Boris Vukovic i Nikolina Stanic.
