57.589 citizens have the right to vote in the elections in Nikšić, and 25.603 of them in the elections in Herceg Novi.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has finalized the voter lists ahead of the local elections in those municipalities, scheduled for April 13th.
In the June 2023 elections, there were 57.466 voters on the voter list in Nikšić, and 25.508 in Herceg Novi.
Voters can access the voter list in person, at the counters of the regional units for civil status and personal documents in Nikšić and Herceg Novi, every working day (from Monday to Friday) from 14 am to XNUMX pm, with a valid ID card or travel document (passport).
The regional units for civil status and personal documents in Herceg Novi and Nikšić will be open from 13 am to 20 pm during the elections, i.e. on Sunday, April XNUMX, so that citizens will be able to collect identification documents for which they submitted a request in the previous period, the Ministry of Interior announced.
The voter can inspect the voter's list directly and via the internet portal www.biraci.me. On that portal, a citizen can check whether he is on the voter list and at which polling station he is voting by entering the number of his identity card or travel document.
Voters who have an electronic identity card issued after March 30, 2020, can view the voter list directly and via the internet portal https://e.servis.mup.gov.me, using the electronic identification certificate embedded in the electronic identity card.
The Ministry of Interior notes that in order for a citizen to be able to view the voter list in the described manner, it is necessary to first activate the certificate in the electronic ID card. Instructions on how to activate the certificate can be found on the website https://ca.elk.gov.me
Ahead of the elections, the Ministry of Internal Affairs established a "Call Center" with a unique number 19820.
"By calling this number and providing personal information (name and surname, date of birth and parents' names) or a unique identification number, the citizen will receive information from the operator about whether they are registered on the voter list and at which polling station they are voting," they explained.
The unique number 19820 is free and available to all mobile and landline users in Montenegro. The Ministry of Interior's "Call Center" will be open every day starting from Monday, April 7, from 15 a.m. to 12 p.m. The "Call Center" will be open on the eve of the elections, on Saturday, April 20, from 13 a.m. to 20 p.m., while on Sunday, April XNUMX, on election day, it will be open from XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX p.m.
