Nikšić deserves to develop, to be invested in and to have projects that last and remain, said the Vice President of Democratic Montenegro Momo Koprivica.
As reported by the list "Nemanja Vuković - We are all Nikšić", Koprivica said that "duty to the city must not be declarative", but translated into concrete and measurable results.
He also said, it is added, that "numerous projects of key importance" for Nikšić and its villages have been financed precisely thanks to the amendments he submitted as an MP since 2021.
"If we understand our duty to our city as an obligation to do what is within our power and to provide public goods accessible to everyone without distinction, we will have growth, development and capital that will remain for future generations. And that is a responsibility that we must not be ashamed of," said Koprivica.
Among the projects that have been implemented, he singled out the establishment of the Digital Revolution Center in Nikšić, as a key point for modernizing content and stimulating economic development. As he said, the Cathedral of Saint Basil of Ostrog was also reconstructed for 220.000 euros. When it comes to improving infrastructure, Koprivica said that a total of 27 kilometers of local roads have been asphalted on important routes: Župa - Kapetanovo Lake, Maočići - Velimlje, Donje Crkvice - the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šipačno, Kamensko, and that the section of the road between the Lower and Upper Monastery of Ostrog has also been repaired.
Koprivica also said that in the field of health, the ambulance in Velimlje was adapted, in order to improve health care for the rural population. Also, as he pointed out, Vladičina voda - the endowment of Bishop Sava Kosanović - was reconstructed, as well as the physical education space in the Olga Golović Primary School, which "created better conditions for students."
Koprivica also announced that the budget envisages the construction of a sports hall for the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education in Nikšić, "the implementation of which is expected in the coming period."
"Nikšić deserves to develop, to be invested in and to have projects that last and remain. We are all Nikšić and therefore - let's accelerate progress," said Koprivica.
