Kaja Kalas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, will begin her first official visit to the Western Balkans with a stay in Montenegro, on Monday, April 7th.
She will meet with President Jakov Milatović and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić to discuss relations between the EU and Montenegro, the country's strategic direction and progress in the EU accession process, the European House announced.
He will also hold a meeting with ambassadors of EU member states, talk to representatives of civil society, and present the Union's support in the field of defense and security.
At 10:45 a.m., Spajić and Kaja Kalas will hold a joint press conference at Villa Gorica. After that, she will travel to Cetinje, where she will meet with Milatović.
The visit will conclude at the Knjaz Danilo Military Airport, where the EU High Representative will present the European Peace Facility support package intended for the Montenegrin Army and attend a presentation of military equipment together with the Minister of Defense, Dragan Krapović.
