An extraordinary session of the Assembly of the Royal Capital of Cetinje, dedicated to the dynamics of the implementation of the conclusions reached regarding the tragic events that occurred in Cetinje on August 12, 2022 and January 1, 2025, will be held on Friday, April 11, the Royal Capital of Cetinje announced.
The session was convened at the initiative of the Mayor of the Royal Capital, Nikola Đurašković, who, as reported, expressed dissatisfaction with the reaction of some state bodies, emphasizing that he considers it necessary for the Royal Capital Assembly to clearly determine the current dynamics of implementing the adopted conclusions.
Đurašković emphasized the importance of responsible and transparent action by all competent institutions in this process, in the interest of the citizens of the Royal Capital and preserving trust in the system.
"We remind you that the Assembly of the Royal Capital of Cetinje, at its session held on January 10, adopted a series of conclusions that, among other things, require responsibility and an urgent response from the competent state authorities, the implementation of an independent international investigation and forensics, the installation of a modern video surveillance system and the provision of an adequate number of police officers on the territory of the Royal Capital," the statement reads.
