Šćepanović: Rural development is one of the priorities for the progress of Nikšić

Candidate for councilor of the "We Are All Nikšić" coalition, Jelena Šćepanović, said that agribusiness, rural development and the empowerment of women in entrepreneurship are key areas in which clear progress has been made in the past four years, and that an even stronger step forward in these sectors is expected in the next mandate.

"As someone whose focus is on agribusiness and rural development, I can proudly point out that Nikšić has been constantly developing over the past four years, thanks, among other things, to numerous incentive measures for our farmers," said Šćepanović.

According to a statement from the coalition, she emphasized that one of the most important steps will be the opening of the House of Agriculture and the establishment of the Secretariat for Agriculture, which, according to her, will represent a significant step forward for the development of villages and agriculture in Nikšić.

"With the opening of the House of Agriculture and the Secretariat for Agriculture, our city will gain new development perspectives and the opportunity to make a strong step forward in the valorization of its own resources. This is a place where our producers will receive support, knowledge and concrete instruments to improve their work," said Šćepanović.

The plan of the "We are all Nikšić" coalition, he adds, also includes the reconstruction of the city market, which will provide better conditions for the sale of local products and strengthen the direct connection between producers and consumers.

"In addition to infrastructure projects, we also place special focus on supporting women entrepreneurs. Our vision includes concrete support through education, easier access to funds and institutional protection," said Šćepanović.
