Kovačević and Knežević claim that Milović is behind the incidents in Nikšić and that the DPS is creating tensions

The leader of the list of the coalition For the Future of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, claims that fugitive police officer Ljubo Milović "is paying a group of people to cause problems in Nikšić."

He said this at a press conference in the Parliament of Montenegro, held on the occasion of the stoning of the car of the Mayor of Trebinje Municipality Mirko Ćurić, who attended the central debate of the coalition "For the Future of Nikšić" held last night.

It was announced at the conference that five cars were stoned and two were set on fire in Nikšić last night.

Kovačević said that Ćurić expressed his desire to attend his campaign rally.

The leader of the "For the Future of Nikšić" coalition list said that two cars with Bosnian license plates, one with Zeta license plates, and a vehicle with Belgrade license plates were damaged in Nikšić last night. The vehicle with Belgrade license plates was damaged outside the city center, and Kovačević said that the suspect has been arrested.

"This is an organized action by the DPS. Honest and upright DPS voters cannot identify with this. The car with Zeta plates belongs to our fellow citizen who recently bought it in Zeta. These two cars with Bosnian plates also belong to our citizens. You heard what we could hear from the honorary, and actually real, president of the DPS, Milo Đukanović. They are aware that they are losing the elections, so they have to create tensions. I must apologize to the mayor of Trebinje, but also to all the people who suffered damage," said Kovačević.

Democratic People's Party leader Milan Knežević said that last night "the hunt for Serbs from Herzegovina, Nikšić, Zeta began."

"It all started after Andrija Nikolić handed over some kind of list of people who were allegedly registered in Nikšić and Republika Srpska. The car of the mayor of Trebinje was demolished, as well as two more with Bosnian license plates, one with a Zeta license plate, one with a Belgrade license plate. The same thing happened on the eve of the Podgorica elections, when people with Serbian license plates were stopped, threatened and attacked. We are calling on Nikolić, Đukanović, and Danijel Živković because we believe that their actions led to this," said Knežević.

He also said that he suspects that "the Kavač clan is behind this action."

"As in 2021, as evidenced by the Sky correspondence. We suspect that Ljubo Milović, whose whereabouts are unknown, is behind the DPS campaign in 2020. We expect an express and timely reaction from the competent authorities. It is much more important to identify Živković and Đukanović as the ones who ordered and inspired the election, because they deserve it. They want to create tension so that the elections will not be held in the way they should in the 21st century in a normal state," said Knežević.

The leader of New Serbian Democracy and the Speaker of the Parliament, Andrija Mandić, called on the police and competent authorities to react to last night's incidents in Nikšić.

"The mafia will not stop because of the forecast that the list led by Kovačević will be stronger than theirs. We think that Nikšić is a very big challenge for our security services. We have received information and there is talk that the same person who planned to give money to set cars on fire is doing the same things today," said Mandić.
