The session of the Bar Municipal Assembly has been postponed for the second time, not due to objective circumstances, but solely due to the inability of the ruling parties to reach an agreement and ensure a quorum. The same ones who spend citizens' money without any problems are clearly unable to show up to work and do the job they were elected to do.
This was announced by the opposition party in the Bar Assembly, Biram Bar, led by Radomir Novaković.
While citizens are facing real problems, they pointed out, from poor infrastructure to unfinished projects and preparations for the tourist season, government councilors are demonstrating frivolity and political irresponsibility.
"Instead of dealing with the interests of the citizens of Bar, they are engaged in mutual outsmarting and party calculations," they wrote, asking on whose behalf this is being done.
At least it is not and must not be a victim of their incompetence, they emphasized, because they do not want a city of abandoned, unfinished construction sites and sewage waterways, like the Rena River a few days ago.
"We call on them, if they don't already know how to run the city, to at least show a minimum of responsibility and enable the work of the Bar Municipal Assembly. Otherwise, it's time to open up space to those who know, want and can do better," said the Biram Bar party.
The citizens of Bar deserve responsible government, they concluded, not the political theater they watch from session to session.
