The leaders of the former Democratic Front, Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević, suffered a setback at last night's final convention in Nikšić, so they "rather quickly, as is their old custom, resorted to provoking incidents" in order to "raise tensions and try to present their alleged vulnerability", claims the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
"It is sad to see how the DF, in the manner of the Democrats, burns down their own vehicles worth a few hundred euros in order to then construct a shameful thesis about how the hunt for Serbs has allegedly begun. This narrative that the losers from the DF traditionally resort to, and which began with the announcement a few days ago that Serbs will have to move from Nikšić after the DPS victory on April 13, once again shows that these are paid nationalists who are more than willing to manipulate the feelings of citizens and incite hatred for the sake of a vote or a dinar," the DPS announced.
"Finally, we will not allow Boban Baćović's servants and those with whom Luka Bojović arranges the formation of the government in Podgorica to talk to us about crime. We understand your burden of criminal structures because your bosses are the ones who run state-run organized crime in Serbia and on whose instructions you must act politically. However, on April 13th, neither shameful theses about the alleged hunt for Serbs, nor incidents that you yourself cause, will help you, neither Baćović nor Luka Bojović - you will be beaten like never before and sent permanently into the political past," the statement reads.
