The only reason the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) would doubt that citizens with dual citizenship are voting in Montenegro is that they have allowed it for decades, said Democratic MP Anđela Vojinović.
"Rest assured that every arrest will mean that DPS has one less corrupt activist who manipulated the elections in Montenegro. We fully support, and Montenegro implements, only legal and legitimate electoral processes. We are sure that DPS would like it better if, as they have done for thirty years, they controlled the outcome of the electoral processes and the final results. Maybe they should move their party to Venezuela or Syria," she said.
Two days ago, the head of the DPS parliamentary group, Andrija Nikolić, gave a statement to the Regional Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Nikšić, in his capacity as a citizen, and submitted a list of 206 voters whom the party has reasonable suspicions of being registered in the electoral rolls of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and who, contrary to the law, exercise their right to vote in two countries.
