Vuković: A vote for DPS is a vote against our children and Nikšić, they forgot playgrounds, Cyrillic, villages

A vote for the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is a vote against our children and against Nikšić, announced the leader of the "We Are All Nikšić" list, Nemanja Vuković.

The "All for Nikšić" list announced that Vuković made this statement at the final convention of that list.

Vuković said that April 13th is the day when the honor of the city is defended and confirms the continuation of development that, as he said, has reborn Nikšić in the past four years.

"The people on our list are the people who have raised Nikšić from the ashes in the past four years. They will lead it in the next four years. This is a winning team. When we are together, when we are united, then those who curse us and who destroyed Nikšić have no place here anymore," Vuković pointed out.

Speaking about political opponents from within the DPS, Vuković pointed out that they are the same people, with new stories and old habits.

"For years they have forgotten Nikšić. They have forgotten the playgrounds, the Cyrillic alphabet, the villages. And now they want to come back and push the city back into the darkness from which we barely pulled it out. That is why on April 13th we are electing Nikšić with new jobs, equal opportunities for affordable housing, new investments, new playgrounds, parks, schools. And don't forget - we are not all the same, and it is not all the same. A vote for DPS is a vote against our children and against Nikšić. That is why a vote for this coalition, for these people, for all of us together - a vote for our children and for our Nikšić," said Vuković.

The leader of Democratic Montenegro and Deputy Prime Minister, Aleksa Bečić, said that the fight of the "We Are All Nikšić" list is not only political, but also an essential fight for justice and against organized crime.

"It's clear why we are a thorn in their side. The curse of the politicians of the past, the DPS, was actually a cry for their own political irrelevance, frustration, but also for fear and panic. Because they know that we will not stop until we bring everyone to justice, until we break up every mafia den, and until we send every member of crime who was within the security sector and who was within the institutions of the system where he belongs," Bečić pointed out.

Bečić also said that on April 13th, no one has the right to stay home and that it is very important, as he pointed out, to deal a final blow to the drug cartels who are wounded but who still have hope.

"Let's extinguish that hope for them once and for all and tell them that Montenegro will never again be ruled by the mafia, crime and organized crime groups," Bečić said.

The statement says that the Vice President of the Democrats and the Government of Montenegro, Momo Koprivica, praised Vuković, emphasizing that he is a man who knows how to serve the citizens and who, as he stated, has proven that even in difficult times one can keep one's word.

He also said that the coalition faces serious challenges.

"We have an obligation to deal with the octopus. To defend Nikšić from those who do not defend citizens, but functions, concessions, apartments and privileges. They are not preparing an offensive on Nikšić, but on Spuž, to free their comrades from prison. Today, by talking about reforms, they are trying to deceive citizens. But we are here to help them, to reform by returning what they have stolen, what belongs to the state and every citizen," said Koprivica.

Candidate for councilor and MP from the Democrats, Anđela Vojinović, said that people from the "We Are All Nikšić" list have served the citizens and the city responsibly, bravely and honorably for the past four years, and that they now have an obligation to defend everything that has been achieved during that period.

The statement also states that Vojinović reacted sharply to messages from the honorary president of the DPS, Milo Đukanović.

"He came out of the darkness of his political lair, and now he swears, curses and plays the liberator, the greatest enemy of Nikšić in its history. Never again will DPS and Milo Đukanović rule this city. Never again will we allow municipal officials to be sent off in handcuffs. That is why on April 13th we choose work, honesty and truth and fight for every child, student, pensioner, every person, because we are all Nikšić," said Vojinović.

Candidate for councilor of the "We Are All Nikšić" list, Željko Lučić, emphasized that the upcoming elections are defending the honor of Nikšić as a city of free people and a city that offers broad opportunities for further development.

"He particularly emphasized the role of Nemanja Vuković, stating that he is not just the bearer of a local councilor list, but one of the leaders of an entire generation that has restored citizens' faith in honorable and conscientious engagement in politics, motivated by love for Nikšić and sincere concern for the progress of the community," the statement from the "We Are All Nikšić" list reads.
