The European Union councilors in the Tivat Municipal Assembly (MA) called today for the mandate of the current Tivat Municipal Assembly to be shortened and for early local elections to be called.
In a statement submitted by the European Union, they stated that they had been provided with additional material for consideration at the XXII session scheduled for April 16, in which the resignation of the second vice president of the Municipality, Jovan Brinić, was also submitted.

After we were provided with additional material for consideration at the XXII session scheduled for April 16, in which the resignation of the second vice-president of the Municipality, Mr. Brinić, was also submitted, it is our duty to once again suggest to you, in an extremely collegial and responsible manner, the following - shorten the mandate of this convocation of the Municipal Assembly and call for early elections, after which Tivat will receive a more responsible and stable administration that will be capable of governing at full capacity throughout the entire mandate. You are definitely not capable of that. You have been sloppily trying to blame our colleagues from the SDP for the instability of your government and the forced administration in the period 2020 - 2022, and who is to blame now?", pointed out the councilors of the European Union in the Tivat Municipal Assembly.
They added that in both cases the government is to blame.
"It has long been clear to you that you are not functioning, the exodus of officials and employees in the Municipality has been going on for a long time, you constantly organize the Municipal Assembly sessions with extreme effort, after frequent postponements, as the people say 'you are like horns in a sack' and keeping your head in the sand and writing answers that everything is in perfect order is pointless and does not help anyone, least of all the citizens of Tivat. As soon as Mr. Miljan Marković announced that there was no crisis among you, we knew that the truth was completely opposite. We have known that since you were formed. Come on, as constituents of the government, you are torturing yourselves, we do not care too much about that, but you are torturing the employees of the Municipality, managers and heads of bodies", said the councilors of the European Union in the Municipal Assembly of Tivat.
According to them, the work of the Municipality is chaotic, and they also said that doubts are coming from within the authorities about the legality of the implementation of certain projects, and that there are rumors about possible criminal proceedings.
"You will not repeat to us similar meaningless theses as when the then vice president Mr. Petković resigned, and Mr. Brinić is leaving your ship out of boredom, because he is a rebel and your course is correct, and the crew has never been better and more compact? It would not be polite to continue to play with the intelligence of the men and women of Tivat. Let's put an end to this painful game of yours and let the citizens get the opportunity they deserve - to elect a significantly better, more stable and more efficient city administration than you," said the councilors of the European Union in the Tivat Municipal Assembly.
The leader of the Boka Forum, Andrija Petković, announced on October 25th last year that he was resigning from the position of vice president of the Municipality of Tivat.
