Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić congratulated Đuro Macut on his election as Prime Minister of Serbia, as well as the election of members of the newly elected Government, with "wishes for the successful performance of responsible duties."
The congratulatory message states that Montenegro and Serbia are bound by "deep and fraternal ties, founded on a common history, culture and language."
"Our two countries have lived in a common state for almost a century, and even today they share much that makes us the closest in this region," Mandić pointed out.
He expressed his belief that the election of Đuro Macut as Prime Minister will contribute to further improving cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia, "for the benefit of our citizens and in the spirit of brotherhood, friendship, trust and mutual respect."
"Finally, President Mandić wished the new Prime Minister of Serbia good health, perseverance and wisdom in performing his responsible function in times that require determination and dedication," the office of the head of parliament announced.
