Bar is sinking under the weight of a dysfunctional and quarrelsome government, and there is no end in sight. The three consecutive postponed sessions of the Municipal Assembly are proof that the current coalition does not know, cannot and does not want to lead this city, said Radomir Novaković Cakan, president of the party I Vote Montenegro - I Vote Bar.
He assessed that personal and party animosities take up citizens' time, energy, and perspective.
"While they are busy with themselves, businessmen and tourism workers are left without key decisions. The city stands still - and the season is knocking on the door, but it's as if they care about the season!
"One of the most drastic examples of irresponsibility is the Proposal for a Study on Parking Zones. A document of vital importance for the functioning of traffic and support for tourism is sitting forgotten in a drawer, already full of unadopted acts, but it's as if they care. In the meantime, the director of the Parking Service receives a salary, which is not late, and whether it was earned, I leave to the public's judgment. This is not a bureaucratic oversight, this is sabotage of the city's interests," Novaković said in a statement to the media.
He said that as a businessman and as someone who has invested in and lived for Bar for years, he is worried and bitter.
"Instead of having a government that creates conditions for work and development, we have a paralyzed group without vision, without strength, without responsibility.
"The Bar must not be held hostage to their incompetence. If they cannot ensure a quorum, sit down and work - let them step aside. Let them let the Bar be run by people who know, want and can! Citizens demand order, work and results. Immediately," concluded Novaković.
