"You will remain with your actions, what you will vote for. And this decision can be changed. Fortunately, we have the Vienna Convention. Fortunately, we will fight - whoever gives in. Either way, justice is achievable," the independent MP stated.

The Committee on International Relations and Emigrants did not give the green light to the amendment by independent MP Jevrosima Pejović to the Bill on Ratifying the Agreement with the United Arab Emirates.

The amendment received one vote in favor, while seven MPs abstained.

Pejović proposed an amendment that projects built through this agreement not be treated as public interest. This agreement relates to cooperation in tourism and real estate development.

Pejović emphasized that the amendment she proposed was one of the most important.

"The fact that we are discussing this well after midnight with inadequate emotions makes us realize that it is not easy to bear responsibility for the consequences," she said.

She added that citizens and some colleagues from the ruling majority understand how dangerous this is, and that this is something for which criminal liability can be incurred.

"If you need a little more time to weigh your decision. Like everything voted on in this house after midnight, it does not produce results we can be proud of," she emphasized.

She pointed out that it is bad that the concerns of colleagues from local communities are not taken into account.

"This kind of behavior, this kind of aggressive attack on the shortcut to passing the law, says the complete opposite," Pejović stated.

Committee President Duško Stijepović interrupted Pejović, to which she stated that this spoke volumes about his upbringing.

Voting violates Montenegro as an ecological state

Civic Movement URA MP Ana Novaković Đurović said she wanted to give her two minutes to Pejović, while Stijepović said he had no right to do so. She read out parts of the Declaration on Ecological Montenegro.

"All MPs who vote for this agreement will violate the constitutional designation of Montenegro as an ecological state," said Novaković Đurović.

She added that according to the Aarhus Convention, public hearings must be held on all projects.

Minister of Public Works Majda Adžović emphasized that the amendments are not interpretative, while Pejović said that everyone will live with the consequences of this decision and that experience teaches that every decision has a different outcome.

"You will remain with your actions, what you will vote for. You will remain with a certain "acting out" with your colleagues. And this decision can be changed. Fortunately, we have the Vienna Convention. Fortunately, we will fight - so whoever gives in. Either way, justice is achievable," she stated.
