The Municipality of Bar paid out around 63 thousand euros to political parties operating in the municipality in the first three months, according to documentation on the financing of political parties by the local government. On a monthly basis, the Bar administration allocates a little over 21 thousand euros for these purposes.
The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is first on the list, receiving 6.002 euros each month as the party with the most councilors and the best result in local elections. It is followed by the Social Democrats, to whom the Municipality of Bar pays 2.268 euros monthly.
Party Radomir Novaković Cakan Biram Bar received 1.585 euros per month this year, while Democratic Montenegro received only two euros less - 1583 euros.
The Europe Now Movement received the same amount as the Democrats three times since the beginning of the year, while the Civic Movement URA received 1.541 euros.
The Bosniak Party, which has one member of the Bar parliament, receives 1.244 euros, as does the Democratic People's Party. The Social Democratic Party (SDP) receives slightly less per month, 1.144 euros.
The Municipality of Bar has paid 923 euros to the New Serbian Democracy every month this year, 728 euros to the United Montenegro with one councilor, 461 euros to the Movement for Changes with also one representative, and 381 euros to the Liberal Party, from which the Vice President of the Bar Municipal Assembly comes.
The Albanian Alternative receives a modest "revenue" of 96 euros from the Bar administration, while CIVIS receives 289 euros per month.
In this way, the costs recorded in the Municipality of Bar as transfers to political parties, parties and associations on a monthly basis amount to 21.059 euros, and for the first three months of the current year, exactly 63.178,53 euros were spent for these purposes.
The Bar Municipality budget for 2025 in the amount of 63.424.000, which provides funds for political parties, was adopted at the Bar Assembly session last December, with the votes of 19 government councilors, while two opposition councilors were against and five abstained.
