Serbia will continue to honestly and with arguments point out the position of Serbs in Montenegro and advocate for their rights, identity and cultural heritage, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced today.
He stated on the social network Facebook that he received the letters of credence today from the newly appointed Ambassador of Montenegro to Serbia, Nebojša Đoković, and wished him a warm welcome and a successful mandate.
"I am convinced that through joint efforts we will further improve relations between our countries, based on the close ties between the peoples of Serbia and Montenegro. Good relations between our countries are key to the stability and future of the entire region. We are open to honest dialogue on all important issues and are ready to deepen cooperation in the areas of economy, infrastructure, energy and European integration. We are satisfied with the establishment of direct payment transactions, as well as the mutual interest in joint projects connecting our two countries. Serbia will continue to honestly and well-arguedly point out the position of Serbs in Montenegro and advocate for their rights, identity and cultural heritage. Through cooperation, mutual respect and a vision of a common European future, we can together contribute to a more stable and prosperous Western Balkans," Vučić said.
