The coalition "For the Future of Budva" announced today that the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is in command of Budva and the Mayor of the Municipality, Nikola Jovanović.
"Daniel Živković, Nikola Jovanović's boss and the formal head of DPS, openly and proudly stated in the Parliament of Montenegro that his party is in power in Budva. There is no more talk of 'platform support', 'technical agreements' or any attempt to deceive the public. Everything is clear. DPS is again in command of Budva thanks to people who swore until yesterday that DPS would have nothing to do with the OKG (organized crime group). What we are seeing today are the first consequences of that shameful alliance. The first resignations. The first awakenings. But they will not be the last. Because the OKG DPS entered the Budva government in a big way and its octopus immediately released its tentacles," the statement said.
The coalition "For the Future of Budva" added that "now DPS cadres are choking and swallowing, starting with Nikola Jovanović, in order."
"And it will not stop until it is under its control," the coalition said in a statement.
They welcome the decision of Aleksandar Franeta and Krsto Kuljača to resign from the Board of Directors of the Academy of Knowledge and the Council of the City of Theatre.

"Their clear disagreement with the representatives of the DPS and SDP shows that it is difficult to withstand the return of the Budva organized group. This is the only right way. We also call on other members of the 'Budva, our city' group to put their finger on their foreheads and ask themselves: what did you allow? How did you allow yourself to be manipulated by the DPS, Nikola Jovanović, and to be led by a group that the whole of Budva recognizes as the Godfathers? It is not too late to admit your mistake. It is not too late to return to yourself, your image, and Budva. Our positions are clear and unchangeable: not with the DPS and satellites, not with Jovanović, and never with criminals," said the coalition "For the Future of Budva".
