The coalition "For the Future of Nikšić" this morning sent an official invitation to the municipal committees of the Europe Now Movement and Democratic Montenegro to negotiate on the formation of local government, announced New Serbian Democracy spokesperson Mirko Miličić.
"The invitation states that due to the different understanding of the same things and the desire to constitute a new local government in a democratic spirit and in accordance with the will of the citizens of Nikšić, based on the conversations that we as a coalition have had so far orally, we hereby, in writing, officially invite the local organization of the Europe Now Movement and representatives of Democratic Montenegro to negotiations on the formation of a local government in Nikšić, after the elections held on April 13," the statement reads.
Miličić says that they emphasized that the leader of the "For the Future of Nikšić" coalition list, Marko Kovačević, has a full mandate to negotiate with representatives of PES and Democrats on behalf of that coalition, and asked them to have the persons delegated by their local party bodies agree with him on the place and time of meetings at which negotiations on forming a government in Nikšić will be held.
"The citizens of Nikšić expect the responsible and hospitable approach they were accustomed to during the previous mandate, which was established by Marko Kovačević, and I hereby express my belief that all constituents of the new government will in the future justify what is the will and idea of the people of Nikšić," the NSD spokesperson said.
