The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, submitted a proposal to the Parliament to elect Mirjana Vučinić as a judge of the Constitutional Court.
"Based on evidence of meeting the conditions for election and the results of interviews with candidates, President Milatović decided to propose Mirjana Vučinić, a prominent lawyer, to the Parliament of Montenegro as a judge of the Constitutional Court.
"The work biography of Mirjana Vučinić indicates that the proposed candidate possesses enviable professional references, which were acquired during her work in several state bodies, but also through many years of practicing law. During the conversation that President Milatović had with candidate Vučinić, she demonstrated a high level of motivation and analytical skills," the press release of the Public Relations Office of the President of Montenegro states.
It is added that Milatović is convinced that, if elected as a judge of the Constitutional Court, Vučinić would perform her duties professionally, conscientiously and responsibly, contributing to the efficiency of the work of that institution.
According to a statement from the Presidential Public Relations Office, Mirjana Vučinić graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro in 1989, with an average grade of 8,44.
She gained extensive legal experience in the Constitutional Court, the Health Fund, the Real Estate Administration, and the Republic Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, and has been practicing law since 2006.
During her rich legal career, Vučinić, in addition to her regular work engagement, participated in the implementation of a large number of international and domestic projects.
She passed the bar exam in 1995.
