Milatović: We appreciate Denmark's support for Montenegro's European path, we are in the final stages of opening the embassy

We appreciate Denmark's support for Montenegro's European path and expect strong cooperation during their presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) in the second half of this year, the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, announced today.

He announced on the social network X that he had spoken with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on the sidelines of the European Political Community Summit in Tirana.

"We appreciate Denmark's support for Montenegro's European path and expect strong cooperation during their presidency of the EU Council in the second half of this year. Montenegro and Denmark cherish good allied relations, which we wish to further strengthen through political dialogue and economic cooperation. We are in the final stages of opening the Embassy of Montenegro in Denmark, which is another confirmation of our readiness and commitment to improving relations with that country in numerous areas of mutual interest. The Montenegrin diaspora in Denmark represents a significant link between our countries, playing an important role in promoting Montenegro and strengthening relations with Denmark," said Milatović.
