The leader of the Civic Movement URA and former Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, commenting on the acquittal in the "Apartments" affair, said that the Montenegrin judiciary sent a very bad message today by exonerating officials of the former regime from responsibility for the illegal allocation of apartments and housing loans.
"I have nothing left but to congratulate the judiciary, they sent a message to citizens and officials today: 'Do whatever you want, desecrate institutions and take as much of the budget as you want. When you finish with the looting, destroy the documentation, so that it can never be found again even if the procedure is initiated - you will be released. Bravo for the Montenegrin judiciary, what else can be said," Abazović said in the author's podcast "Friday with Dritan", the GP URA announced.
He said that the government he headed had filed a criminal complaint for misuse of the Montenegrin budget, because the apartments and money for renovation were allocated illegally and in violation of the rules.
He said that based on the court decision, it would have been the same if they had shared 100 thousand, XNUMX million and XNUMX euros.
"Let this be a message to the tenants who do not have a roof over their heads that they are second- and third-class citizens, that officials can do whatever they want, that they are proud and you are managing," added Abazović.
Abazović repeated information about indirect connections between parts of the Montenegrin underground and the current government.
With this, as the statement says, "he was commenting on media allegations about the seizure of documentation from the 'Grand' travel agency, owned by the uncle of the current Prime Minister, Sreten Kankaraš, and whose name has been mentioned in public several times and linked to the arrested Duško Golubović."
Abazović said that he had been warning about certain things for a year and a half and that this was a person who pulled the strings in the government and the security sector, who was friends with Golubović.
"Whether the uncle will sing, whether the seized documents will be useful, remains to be seen. No one will escape the hand of justice. Everything that was said before will take effect before Montenegro enters the European Union. I would like many honorable people who voted for PES to just take a closer look at the facts around them. They should know that the people who govern this Government do so mostly thanks to people from the Montenegrin underground," added the president of the GP URA.
Abazović said that the current government's project was designed by those against whom the "hand of justice" was directed, that is, to rehabilitate certain structures linked to organized crime.
Before the start of the summer tourist season, Abazović expressed his fear that prices in stores would rise again, which would send tourists to other neighboring countries.
Given that the season determines what will happen to state finances, which are in very poor condition, Abazović proposed the return of the "Stop Inflation" campaign implemented by his government.
"To return to the 'Stop Inflation' campaign and, in agreement with large chains and businesses, to make an agreement to lower the price of groceries. Every increase in salaries and pensions is in vain if we have this kind of inflation. The biggest challenge for citizens is high prices that significantly affect their lives," said Abazović, adding that all increases in salaries and pensions are in vain when at the same time food prices are rapidly rising.
"Every person who goes to the supermarket checkout knows what I'm talking about," said Abazović.
When asked by a citizen whether the glorification of Pavle Đurišić was a prelude to his rehabilitation, the leader of the GP URA said that "the messages that have been heard do not lead to the strengthening of the civic being of Montenegro."
"I am fighting for Montenegro to be a civil state, to have equal treatment for all citizens, to provide everyone with identical rights and freedoms, and to achieve this, we need to tell the truth about historical events. Whoever was a criminal should be said to have been a criminal, whoever was a humanist, whoever did something good, should be recognized and we should direct people to set the true values that people inherited as the pillar of building our civil society. If we do this with the wrong people, who did not spread justice but injustice, and make heroes out of them, we will never reach the goal - building a civil society," said Abazović.
