Montenegro is the absolute leader among candidate countries for membership in the European Union (EU) and wants to help Moldova so that they can join the family of developed European countries as soon as possible, said the Speaker of the Montenegrin Parliament, Andrija Mandić.
He met today in Podgorica with the President of Moldova, Maja Sandu.
As announced by the parliament, Mandić informed Sanda about the historic results achieved by the 28th convocation of the Assembly, stating that the Montenegrin Parliament is at the disposal of the Parliament of Moldova when it comes to transferring knowledge and experience in the field of the EU accession process.
Mandić emphasized that Montenegro today represents the absolute leader among candidate countries and that he wants to help Moldova so that they can join the family of developed European countries as soon as possible.

He announced that the Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro will establish communication and exchange of information with his colleague from the Moldovan Parliament in the coming period.
Sandu, as announced, expressed her satisfaction with the meeting with Mandić, adding that Montenegro and Moldova have numerous similarities, both historical and cultural.

She thanked for the open support and the aforementioned institutional assistance, because, as she said, it is a statement of sincere cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
