Spajić's Cabinet: Visit to Japan an opportunity to improve bilateral relations

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić will lead a Montenegrin delegation that will pay a working visit to Japan from May 25 to June 1, and the visit is an opportunity to improve bilateral relations in various areas, according to the Prime Minister's Office.

During the visit, on May 28, he will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Tokyo, and participate in the celebration of Montenegro's National Day at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka.

On May 27, the Prime Minister will also open the Business Forum of Montenegrin and Japanese businessmen organized by the Japan External Trade Organization JETRO and the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro.

"The delegation led by the Prime Minister, including Minister of Finance Novica Vuković and Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, will meet with representatives of leading Japanese companies active in the fields of energy (JERA), information and communication technology (NTT Communications), tourism (Hoshino Resorts), construction, infrastructure, seismic technology and railway transport (Itochu, Masatomi and Hitachi) and many others during their stay in Japan," Spajić's office announced.

The delegation will also have a meeting at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the leading institution for the implementation of Japanese Government projects in Montenegro.

"The visit to Japan is an opportunity to improve overall bilateral relations in various areas, with a focus on further strengthening economic cooperation, promoting and valorizing Montenegro's tourism and investment potential, as well as strengthening cooperation in the field of education and other areas of mutual interest," the statement reads.
