Democratic Montenegro announced that yesterday they formally sent an urgent request to the Committee for Comprehensive Electoral Reform, regarding the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Voters' Register, with the aim of having the Bill in question considered by this Committee as soon as possible.
"Given that the aforementioned Bill was included in the Agenda of the Fourth Session of the First Regular (Spring) Session of the Parliament of Montenegro in 2025, we believe that it is of crucial importance that it be considered by the Committee as a matter of urgency," the statement states.
The Democrats called on the Committee to acknowledge the importance of this Bill, especially in the context of unblocking the electoral process in the municipality of Šavnik, and to include it as a priority item on the agenda of the next session.
"The adoption of this legal solution as soon as possible is of essential importance for ensuring the legality and regularity of the electoral process," the political party concluded.
