President of the Municipal Assembly (MA) of Nikšić Milica Lalatovic Zizic (Europe Now Movement - PES), has scheduled a session of the local parliament for Friday (June 13) to elect vice-presidents of the municipality. As "Vijesti" has learned unofficially, those positions will go to the previous head of the municipal council. Nemanja Vuković (Democrats) and Zoran Tomic (Socialist People's Party - SNP), who also held that position in the previous government.
The new government in Nikšić is made up of the coalition "For the Future of Nikšić" - ZBNK (15 seats), Democrats-Plenum 083 (three seats) and the Europe Now Movement (five seats), while the Democratic Party of Socialists DPS (16 seats) and the European Alliance (two seats) are the opposition.
The coalition partners that make up the government signed an agreement before the election of the Mayor of Nikšić, which, as the new-old leader of Nikšić said at the time, Marko Kovacevic, rests on the agreed principles of “transparency, openness and working in the interests of the citizens of Nikšić.” However, the agreement “rests” also on the division of functions, although none of the officials wanted to talk about it.
As "Vijesti" has learned unofficially, the coalition "For the Future of Nikšić", in addition to the positions of the President and Vice-President of the Municipality (SNP has their quota), will also receive the positions of the Chief Administrator and Chief City Architect, the Secretariat for Local Self-Government, Culture, Investments and Projects, the Inspection Supervision Service, the Chief Administrator, the Chief City Architect, for Cooperation and Presidential Affairs and for Joint Affairs, the Municipal Police, the Public Institutions (PU) Nikšić Theater, "Zahumlje" and the "Njegoš" Library, the Sports Center, the Tourist Organization, the Water Supply and Sewerage System, the Design and Planning Agency, the Bus Station and the Football and Basketball Club "Sutjeska".
As for the new constituent of the government, PES, in addition to the position of the President of the Municipal Assembly, they will also hold the positions of the Secretary of the Assembly, the Secretariat for Finance, Development and Entrepreneurship, Spatial Planning, Environmental Protection and Social Welfare and Persons with Disabilities (OSI), as well as the Local Public Revenue Administration, the Day Care Center, the Assembly Service, Tehnobaza, RTV NK, and the volleyball and handball club "Sutjeska". As for the position of the Secretary of the Municipal Assembly, as "Vijesti" unofficially learns, he will remain in that position Ivana Šljukić, who also held the position of secretary in the previous term, when the president of the Municipal Assembly was Vuković.
In addition to the position of Vice Mayor of the Municipality, the Democrats-Plenum 083 coalition will also hold the secretariats for communal affairs and traffic, sports and youth, the Property Directorate, the Public Institution Museums and Galleries, the Protection and Rescue Service, the Public Utility Company and the Parking Service.
