"I think it is great news that this summer Montenegro and Moldova will be connected by an air route between Chisinau and Tivat," said Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović.
The Public Relations Office of the President of Montenegro announced today that Milatović arrived in Chisinau, where he met with the President of Moldova, Maja Sandu, ahead of the Southeast Europe - Ukraine Summit, which will be held in Odessa.
"Today I am in Chisinau, the capital of the Republic of Moldova, on my way to Ukraine, to Odessa, where the fourth Ukraine - Southeastern Europe Leaders' Summit is taking place. Here I had a meeting with the President of Moldova, Maja Sandu, we continued our friendly conversation that we started as part of her state visit to Montenegro," Milatović pointed out.
He added that the focus is on two topics.
"Improving our bilateral relations, I think it is great news that this summer Montenegro and Moldova will be connected by an air route between Chisinau and Tivat. This is exactly the right path towards strengthening our bilateral relations. We also discussed our European perspective, the European perspective of both Moldova and Montenegro. Montenegro is a leading country on this path, but every step forward by all other candidate countries like Moldova makes us extremely happy. Tomorrow I continue my journey to Odessa where, as I said, I will participate together with other leaders at the fourth Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit, where we will together send a message of support for a lasting and just peace in Ukraine," said Milatović.
