"Vladimir Joković, the president of the SNP, has once again demonstrated unprecedented political cowardice and personal insecurity. He proposed the dissolution of the SNP Herceg Novi Municipal Board, as well as my expulsion from the SNP Main Board - all via an electronic session! Only those who lack the courage to look people in the eye act this way," said Radisav - Rašo Nikić, a member of the SNP Main Board.
Why now and why like this, he asks in a statement submitted to "Vijesti".
"Why wasn't this issue raised at the Main Board meeting held on June 6 this year? Why didn't he convene a new Main Board meeting, where, as befits, his proposals would be discussed openly and with arguments? The answer is crystal clear: Joković is terrified of the truth and any confrontation with arguments. His unwillingness to face reality and open dialogue only confirms his weakness and lack of leadership skills," Nikić stated.
He assessed that this is a tactic recognizable to autocrats who fear any opposition within their own ranks.
"This practice, carried out behind closed doors and without a shred of transparency, clearly indicates that Joković will stop at nothing in an attempt to secure a third term. Even if he himself said in several shows that a third term and all of over eight years could be understood as privatizing the party. Even at the cost of brutal abuse of institutions such as the Ministry of Agriculture and the Forestry Administration, where these days anyone who declares themselves as a member of the SNP and promises to be a delegate at the upcoming Congress is being massively employed," said Nikić.

The goal is transparent, he added, to ensure complete control and push the majority through force and manipulation.
"This is not only unethical, but also criminal, as public resources are being used for personal and party interests, while at the same time trampling on the principle of merit and competence. Gentlemen, is this behavior worthy of a party that claims to fight for justice and fairness?"
Unfortunately, those who have never brought any results to the party, but have exclusively profited from it, now, united with Joković, want to shape its destiny. We ask ourselves: why was the Podgorica Municipal Board not dissolved, which did not even pass the threshold, and then accepted crumbs and humiliation in a coalition with the DF? Where was the political responsibility then? At that time, Joković did not mind the dissolution of the board, because it suited him that the Podgorica board would sacrifice itself for the 'bigger picture'", Nikić said
He believes that this is not an attempt at reorganization, but a shameful attempt to break the unity of the SNP.
"The point is clear – to stifle anyone who dares to think differently from Joković. This is an open hunt for dissenters, carried out on the orders of one man, who has clearly forgotten that the party belongs to the membership, not to an individual," the SNP Governing Board member pointed out.
He told Joković to look at his own results in the 2023 parliamentary elections.
"How did the SNP fare in the cities he comes from? Where were his resignations, his political and moral responsibility then? Joković's results are catastrophic, and his leadership has brought the party to the brink of collapse. Instead of taking responsibility for the debacle, he is hiding behind electronic sessions and trying to eliminate anyone who points out his own mistakes. This is a classic example of incompetent leaders trying to hide their failures by blaming others. Enough is enough," Nikić said.
He added that neither Joković, nor those who stick by him for personal gain, can erase him from the SNP.
"People who know me know that I have dedicated my life to this party – and that when it was the hardest. It will continue to be that way – whether I am a member of Joković's Main Board or not! No manipulation, no exclusions, no dictatorial moves will prevent me from fighting for the principles and ideals on which the SNP was founded. I am part of this party by heart, not by function, and my loyalty is to the membership, not to some individual who abused trust."
What gives me strength and pride is the undeniable fact that the strongest local SNP committee in Berane, with the best results in continuity, unanimously rejected these dirty proposals. This is proof that truth and justice always find a way, and that honorable members of the party will not allow it to collapse because of the ambitions of one man. "Fear of life stains the face - often," concluded Nikić, who stated in his signature that "as I write this, I am still a member of the Executive Committee of the SNP of Montenegro."
