The Venice Commission confirmed the correctness of the parliamentary opposition's position regarding the December decision of the parliamentary Constitutional Committee when, contrary to the procedure prescribed by the Constitution, a judge of the Constitutional Court was retired, said the vice president and MP of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Ivan Vuković.
"It would be nice to hear from legal 'experts' from the ruling majority on this issue," he wrote on Iks.
Vuković commented on today's article in "Vijesti", which states that the Venice Commission, in its draft opinion on the case of former judge Dragana Đuvanović, assessed that the Montenegrin Parliament should have complied with the procedure that requires formal notification from the Constitutional Court about the conditions for her termination of her position in that judicial institution.
