The destruction of seized cigarettes, which were stored in the territory of the "Port of Bar" Free Zone, is another step in the systematic and uncompromising fight against tobacco product smuggling, said Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
In a post on the social network X, he stated that Montenegro had forever broken with its smuggling past and embraced its European future.
"The destruction of confiscated cigarettes, which were stored on the territory of the "Port of Bar" Free Zone, is another step in the systemic and uncompromising fight against a decades-old security, fiscal and economic problem - tobacco product smuggling," said Spajić.
According to him, the destruction process will soon be carried out with the support of European partners, respecting all procedures, including requirements related to environmental protection.
