Radonjić: There is no chance of remaining silent about the mindless squandering of the money of the citizens of Zeta as someone's loot

As someone who has ten years of parliamentary experience without a single incident, and there have been fierce polemics and political debates, but also quality discussions, I must conclude that today the Zeta Assembly is not the highest local house, which it should be, but a place of the most mundane behavior, barroom banter, unculturedness and lack of education. A circus directed by Domazetović and the DNP group, or in one Zeta word, "rezilj"!

This was announced today by the President of the Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Zeta and a member of the Municipal Assembly (MA), Dušan Radonjić.

"Never a better-run assembly and never a less well-argued polemic between members of the assembly, always ends with the most mundane name-calling that has nothing to do with the agenda and work of the Municipality. The absolute "champion" of democracy, the "lowly respected" president or chairman of the Assembly, depending on who asks, the gentleman with a small g, Domazetović, for whom the rules of procedure serve exclusively as a coaster, experiences the culmination of his work during the vote counting, where everyone is satisfied if he completes this "complex procedure" on the third attempt. The peak of his respect for the rules of procedure is reflected in giving the floor to his colleagues from the DNP, whenever they wish, in order to insult, discipline and spit on political opponents whenever they run out of arguments for a valid answer. And that is almost always!", said Radonjić.

He added that DPS councilors, including himself, will not allow anyone to "drag them through the parliamentary mud that they themselves created," nor will they tolerate any personal insults without any real reason.

"Any political discussion is allowed, any normal political behavior can be tolerated, raised tones, even unfounded statements by unknown persons, but no personal insults. The DPS councilors' club values ​​both its own dignity and the dignity of the now humiliated House of Assembly, and will protect its own integrity no matter what," he said.

Radonjić said that, on the other hand, he would not tolerate abuse of position, waste of Zeta money, or any kind of deals.

"When we announced that, based on information and documents regarding fraud in the procurement of tractors for the needs of the municipal service, children's playgrounds and bus stops, we would file three criminal charges against responsible persons from the Municipality, indicating with arguments the basis for doubt in the transparency of these procedures, then we were exposed to the most mundane insults. But there is no chance of remaining silent about the mindless squandering of the money of the citizens of Zeta as someone's loot," he said.

He said that he has evidence of these abuses that clearly confirms that the Lamborghini tractor was paid 163.000,00 euros, while its real price is 45.000,00 euros.

"We will not remain silent even on the invoice of 127.000,00 euros paid for the playground in Berislavci when we have an offer from the same company that built that playground, on a turnkey basis, for 67.000,00 euros. While one bus stop with domestic, registered companies costs between 1.200,00 euros and 1.450,00 euros, and the citizens of Zeta also pay 6.000,00 euros?! It's a lot, even if it comes from them!", concluded Radonjić.
